Hope for Helen's fantastic contribution! Jackie Oakes and Coastal K9 Pet Bakery for their wonderful contribution! And Steve Goler for holding a poker tournament fundraiser for AAA! WHAT GREAT PEOPLE WE HAVE IN THIS COMMUNITY!
Adopt-An-ANGEL would like to thank the Fur Ball Committee and all the volunteers for their tireless efforts that organized the 2011 Wilmington Fur Ball at the Riverside Hilton. We would like to also thank all of the fantastic animal lovers who came out just to help homeless animals. People danced, ate great food, bid on all of the auction items and had a great time. It was so nice to be a part of something so wonderful! Money raised will go towards our vet bills that range from $3000 to $5000 every month and toward our Annual Spay A Stray Campaign.
ABOUT US
Adopt An ANGEL was founded in January of 2004 as a 501c3 charitable organization and we are so excited that over 5000 shelter cats and dogs have found their forever homes through our unique program! However, we are deeply saddened by the sheer numbers of unwanted animals that our shelters are being bombarded with. It is so IMPORTANT to spay and neuter your animals or any strays that you are so kind to feed.
Adopt-An-ANGEL would like to thank the Wilmington Fur Ball Committe for choosing AAA to be a part of the 2008 3rd Annual Wilmington Fur Ball and the 2009 4th Annual Fur Ball. See www.wilmingtonfurball.com for details.
The ANGELs of Adopt-An-ANGEL and their Mission
We are a nonprofit foster home network, relying solely on volunteer labor, that adopts cats and dogs from New Hanover County and Brunswick County shelters. We seek to increase the adoptions at these two local animal controls and to open up more space for other homeless animals that may desperately need it. We provide satellite adoption sites to give these animals more exposure. We are available evenings and weekends hopefully increasing the likelihood of finding that wonderful forever family! When one of our ANGELs gets adopted, we go and get another. It's as simple as that!
Adopting a friend
Our adoption donation is:
Adult cats $45
Kittens $55
Puppies $135
Adult Dogs $110
Small Dogs $150 (under 20 lbs)
All pets come spayed or neutered, a first deworming, with age appropriate vaccinations, with an ear and flea treatment, adult dogs also ALL come heartworm free (some have already been through heartworm treatment) and with a 6 month supply of heartworm prevention and they all come with TONS of Tender Loving care!
Stop by and fill out an application today, speak with one of our adoption counselors, get approved, fall in love and enjoy years and years of unconditional love!

The Sponsorship Program
This unique program allows people to help out without physically taking in an animal. Donate $60.00 and we will take an animal from the NHC Animal Control and put it into our foster program, feed it, and house it indefinitely until we are able to find it a permanent home. We will keep you updated on your sponsored pet throughout its stay with us. You can even name it if you would like. We will publicly thank you on all of its literature and our website while it is in our care. When it finally gets adopted we will let you know. You get the tax write-off, a warm and fluffy feeling and the animal gets a home. It's a win-win situation and a great idea for a gift!
