I am a very petite young man but have the meow of a tiger. Well, maybe not a tiger but its a good one. I am very social with the other cats and dogs. I've even got a good thing going with the two turtles I live with. They let me take a drink or two from their tank and promise not to bite me. It's a pretty good life here and I really enjoy playing with my good buddy Leary but I think it's time to get to work finding my family. It would be great if he could come along too. He's a character too, promise. Hm. What else? I love attention and a good snuggle now and again and really nothing bothers me much at all. I'm just an easy going boy. I am certain there is a family out there for me! Oh and I'm a little over a year old.

How to Help

Palisades Animal Rescue has three different programs that can always use a little extra help and support. Our first program is adoptable cats. Recently Palisades added a sanctuary program for cats that have been in the rescue for extended periods of time or are not easily adoptable. They can stay at the Sanctuary as long as they need. The third program, which has recently started, is adoptable dogs.

• Raise money for the rescue by shopping online. Sign up with iGive and each time you shop participating companies will donate a percentage of your total to the rescue. To sign up with the rescue click the link below or go to www.iGive.com/PAR-NC. So far we've raised over $50!!!

• Save up old cell phones and printer cartridges. The rescue will earn money for each of them. You can drop them off at AniMall on any weekend we are there or during the week. Just tell them you are leaving something for Palisades Animal Rescue.

Become a foster home! We are always in need of good foster homes for the cats, dogs, puppies and kittens. Without foster homes we are unable to pull animals from shelters where their time is limited. They are the only way our rescue can continue. All medical care is provided for the foster pets. Supplies can also be provided. Please contact us today and sign up! Its kitten and puppy season so becoming a foster home now is even more important!

Donate your time. We are always looking for volunteers at adoption events. We are also in need of someone who can redesign our website off petfinder. We could use artistic help with promoting adoption events and other needs.

Who We Are

Our rescue started during the summer of 2004 with a focus on cat and kitten rescue. In late 2006 we opened a sanctuary program for cats that are not adoptable or have been in the rescue for more than 3 years. In late 2007 we began our dog department which works to find homes for both dogs and puppies. We are currently working on adding a program for feral cats in the community. Our rescue and sanctuary is no-kill and run entirely by volunteers.
