Who we are:

Four Paws Animal Rescue is a non-profit Shelter dedicated to bringing people and animals together. We are a tax exempt 501(c)3 organization and are 100% volunteer run. Because of this, we rely heavily on of the kindness and generosity of animal lovers to help us do this work. All proceeds go directly to the animals' care. Financial gifts are the lifeblood of our program. We'll happily give you a donation receipt for your contribution. We are located in Denver, North Carolina.

Our shelter has a specific heart for rescuing from the high kill shelters that surround us in North Carolina. Many of our pets are given the gift of life by being rescued on the day they are scheduled to be killed at the shelter. Please consider extending this gift by opening up your homes and hearts and providing a forever home to these wonderful animals.

A quality rescue always spends more money on the animals than the basic maintenance. Heartworm treats, additional vet care can be required. Adopting a friend:
If you are interested in giving one of these animals a new home, please contact the sanctuary and let us know which animal(s) you're interested in. We will ask you for some basic information to ensure that the pet is getting a good and permanent home, and if there are children, if it's a good fit with the temperment of the pet you've selected. All our pets are "inside" animals and should have a fenced in yard as well.

The adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $125 which includes a vet check, 2 wormings, 2 vaccines, 1 yr rabies vaccine, and spaying or neutering. If you adopt a dog over 1 year old and want them tested for heartworms there is an additional fee of $25. The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $85 which includes a vet check, 2 wormings, 2 vaccines, 1 yr rabies vaccine, and spaying or neutering. If you adopt a cat over 12 weeks old and want a feline leukemia test, this is available for an additional $35.
