Welcome to Animal Rescue of Stokes Co.
Animal Rescue of Stokes County is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to rescuing stray and shelter animals in Stokes County and placing them
into forever homes. We also assist citizens in having their companion pets spayed or neutered- see our Spay and Neuter Help page if you are seeking
assistance. Each month, there is a transport to the Central Spay and Neuter Clinic that leaves King from the Five Forks Shopping Center (near the law
office) NEXT TRANSPORT- OCTOBER 10. Call 723-7521 to schedule your appointment!
We have served Stokes County since 2004 and are manned by volunteers. There are no paid staff in our rescue. We rescue primarily dogs and provide
vaccinations, heartworm testing and monthly preventative, spaying or neutering, deworming, microchipping and Frontline Plus. We rely on the
generosity of our community members by supporting our fundraising efforts, donating money and supplies to help take care of the animals in our program.
We are not located at a specific location, we utilize a foster program which we feel is better for the animals in our care. Our common goal is to
reduce the number of homeless pets in our county through education and services to aid those in need.
The Animal Rescue of Stokes County relies on donations from the public so please consider making a secure donation via Paypal. If you make a donation
in memory of a pet that has passed away, please email the recipient's name, address and the name of the pet so that we may send an acknowledgement.

Foster Families Needed
We are always in need of foster families for both dogs and cats. At this time, we cannot accept cats into our rescue as we do not have any cat fosters.
All vet expenses along with food, toys, etc. are paid for by the Animal Rescue of Stokes County. You would not be responsible for any monetary
expenses. We would ask that you provide transportation to any needed veterinary appointments as well as meet a volunteer with the dog to attend
adoption fairs. You provide the love and socialization that the dog needs!
If any other animal is fostered, fosters will receive all they need for the care of the animal.
We are always in need of foster homes for our dogs and cats. If you would like to temporarily foster a dog or cat, we provide all vet care, food,
bedding, toys and treats for the animal. You supply the daily care and love! This is a wonderful way for someone to contribute to the life of a
homeless dog or cat!
Fundraising- We hold 3-4 main fundraisers each year. We are always in need of volunteers for these events. If you would like to be contacted about
upcoming fundraising events, we can add you to our email list. Go to our contact us page and send us your information.
