Directions to The UC Animal Shelter are: Hwy 74 east thru Monroe, turn Right onto Presson Road. (Follow the green state signs for the Union County Sheriff's Office and Jail.) Go to the top of the hill and turn left (driveway to the Sheriff's Office) our new shelter is on the right. The Adoption center is directly behind the flag poles.
IMPORTANT! LOST PETS
If you've lost your dog or cat, please immediately come by during the shelter hours to see if your little one is here. We don't know your pet like you do, so we can't identify them over the phone.

The shelter animals are being adopted daily and also added to the shelter adoption continuously. Below is a small representation of what is there. Therefore, an animal you see below may already be adopted out. Please do not call about an animal listed below. You must go to the shelter to see if it is available. If it is not, chances are you can find another animal that needs a good loving home too. Thanks for visiting and for your interest in helping these homeless pets!
Adopting a friend
Fees for adopting a cat or dog is $85.00. Fees include 1st shots, deworming, Heartworm check on dogs and Feline Leukemia test on cats, Rabies shots for animals over 3-4 months of age, a one time "well check" vet visit, AND the spay/neuter with a contracted vet.

VOLUNTEERS!!
For volunteer and general information regarding adoption, contact 704-283-8303. All volunteers must be atleast 12 years of age and must complete an application as well as submit to a criminal background check through the Union County Sheriff's Office. Volunteers 12 years old to 15 need a parent or guardian to accompany them.
