The Mission of Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is to provide a licensed North Carolina no-kill shelter for owner-surrenders, for a small fee, and to rescue animals from the kill shelters in our area. We also care for these rescues and provide medical treatment if needed, until they are adopted into a loving and caring lifetime environment. FAPS believes in spaying and neutering to reduce the population of stray animals, and to promote responsible pet ownership. In the case of owner-surrenders, an appointment must be made with the FAPS' Shelter Director in order to determine temperament issues. North Carolina State Law does not permit us to take in strays, drop-offs, and/or animals which have been subjected to cruelty or have abandonment issues. For those situations, please contact the Cumberland County Animal Control at http://www.co.cumberland.nc.us/animal_control.aspx or call them at (910) 321-6852. For more information about FAPS, please visit us at www.fapspet.org. And join us on our Facebook page. You can also find pictures of all available pets up for adoption on Petango.com
