Adopting a friend
Adoption fee for a cat or dog is $85.00 and includes pertinent vaccines up-to-date, worming, flea treatment, feline leukemia for cats, a collar and two I.D. tags. Each cat/dog is micro chipped so if he/she becomes lost it can be returned home. An adoption contract must be completed before an animal may leave the shelter. Remember, you are not adopting a mouser or guard dog, but a companion. Sorry, but we do not have funding to transport our animals.

We are located on Stamey Branch Road in Avery County. Turn onto Stamey Brancy Road, travel for approximately 2 miles and you will see the shelter sign on your right. The shelter is located at the top of the hill. Our hours of operation are Monday thru Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. for adoptions only.
