PAWS of Carteret
The Rainbow Bridge.............There is an Indian legend that says when a human dies there is a bridge they must cross to enter into heaven. At the head of that bridge waits every animal that human encountered during their lifetime. The animals, based upon what they know of this person, decide which humans may cross the bridge...and which are turned away.

Other Information
PAWS is a non-profit organization working towards construction of an alternative animal shelter in Carteret County. During the interim we offer a limited adoption assistance program based on the number of Foster homes we have available and directed towards those wanting to adopt a pet or needing to find a home for one. Many of our pets are rescues and all are vetted & healthy prior to placement.
