PUPPIES, PUPPIES AND MORE PUPPIES!
In addition to Remington pictured above, we have just taken in 3 more young pups. These poor little things were found by an individual driving down the road. He spotted a box on the shoulder and was worried what might be inside. Sure enough, there were 3 crying, scared puppies that were soaking wet and starving. He immediately called True Love and we took them in despite not having a foster home open. Their photos and details are all listed together under Maggie Mae on our Pet List. If you are looking for a puppy give us a call!
Who We Are
True Love Animal Rescue is the result of the combined efforts of the two co-founders who have been working with rescue animals all their lives. We joined forces in 1996 and over the years we have rescued hundreds of animals from desperate situations and placed them in forever homes. Due to the need in the community for a true "No-Kill"
shelter True Love was formed. TRUE LOVE WAS NOT FORMED TO BE AN EASY OUT FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO NO LONGER WANT THEIR PETS BUT AS A HAVEN FOR THE ABANDONED, NEGLECTED OR ABUSED ANIMALS WITH NO OTHER CHANCE TO SURVIVE. The animals that can’t be placed in forever homes will live out their lives with True Love.
Our Mission Statement
"True Love Animal Rescue is a no-kill organization dedicated to helping animals that have been abused, neglected or abandoned. True Love will care for, treat the physical needs and rehabilitate the broken spirit in order to help place each rescue in a loving home. If a permanent home is never found True Love will provide love and care for life."
Volunteer Opportunities
You can always help an animal find a home even if you can't adopt one yourself by becoming a temporary Foster Home. We will do our best to match your home to what we know about the dog: its suitability with cats, kids, other dogs, etc. We cover vet expenses and ask our foster homes to provide food and lots of love.
Adopting a friend
Come Visit Us!
If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful animals please call 336-798-1827 or email us at dakotadog22@yahoo.com to make an appointment. True Love does have certain requirements for our dogs and cats and would be happy to talk with you about them. We have a contract that needs to be completed and require a home visit before an adoption is final. If for any reason you find you can not keep the dog or cat you adopt from us, we will take him or her back. All pets are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines before leaving. If age does not allow for an animal to be altered before leaving, a time will be agreed upon when altering will be done. All new owners must show proof of surgery at the agreed upon time.
Our cause is a worthy one. We hope that some day the local animal shelter will be empty and euthanasia will no longer be necessary. A single visit to the local shelter; a single look into the eyes of a condemmed animal will bring understanding to the mission of True Love Animal Rescue. Saving lives and healing broken spirits.
