Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday adoption fairs are limited sessions.
Come to our Saturday adoption fairs and meet your new best friend. If you decide that you want to adopt one of the AARF animals, the first step is to fill out an application form.
An adoption application must be completed and approved, and an adoption contract is signed detailing the quality of care you'll be required to provide for your new pet.
Adoption applications may also be downloaded from our web pages at www.aarfanimals.org, completed off-line and emailed to us.
AARF Adoption Counselors will contact your veterinarian as a reference to confirm the level of care that your prospective pet can expect.
AARF Adoption Counselors do routine home visits for all dog adoptions to assure that their living environment is well suited to the particular animal hoping to be adopted.
Home visits are usually done within a week of receiving an adoption application.
Once your application is approved and fee paid, pets can be picked up at the next Saturday adoption fair.
AARF aids homeless and helpless cats and dogs in the greater Winston-Salem area; providing rescue and adoption services, information, and education while encouraging the human/animal bond.
AARF is governed by a volunteer board of directors. As an organization it is supported by dozens of volunteers who work endlessly to implement the mission of the Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation.
AARF was organized in 1995 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization to provide safe, loving, and
appropriate homes for homeless cats and dogs.
