Come by today to see all our adoptable animals. We try to match you with the best pet fit so we will ask some questions about what your looking for and what you expect. We want our adoptees and adopteors to be happy so they are in forever homes. We will bring the dogs to you to spend time with each one individually for as long as you like. We encourage you to take them in the yard and play ball. Our cats are around the hospital so they are social and most come when they are called.

Who We Are
We are a 501(c)3 rescue dedicated to placing adoptable pets in forever homes. We provide medical care for them through our Veterinary hospital. Dr. Covington has been rescuing animals for over 10 years and has dedicated her time and energy to both the rescue and the hospital. We rescue from high kill shelters in the area.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee is $100 for cats and kittens; and $200 for dogs and puppies. The fee includes all vaccinations needed as of the adoption date, any more vaccinations needed are at the expense of the adopter. Also included are the following: FELV/FIV testing(cats), Heartworm testing(dogs), heartworm treatment (if needed), monthly heartworm prevention up to the time of adoption, deworming, spay/neuter, any and all veterinary care needed. We teach basic manners, give them lots of love, socialization, and many time our animals are fostered to help them better adjust.
We require an adoption contract to be completed and signed. With this contract you are agreeing to keep your new pet current on all vaccines and also to have it spayed/neutered at our office if not already done. Most pets can go home the same day they are adopted. We do however reserve the right to do a veterinarian check, house/apartmant allowence check, and /or refuse an adoption.

MItchell Mill Animal Hospital located at 4012 Mitchell Mill Road. We are easliy accessible from 540. Take 540 to Louisberg Rd (401), head toward Rolesville and go through 2 lights. Cross over Neuse River bridge and at the third light get in the right hand lane (Mitchell Mill Road has its own right hand turn lane).
