Granville County Animal Shelter

Our Pet List

News

WELCOME to the Granville County Animal Control/ Shelter Webpage. There are many ways to help out shelter animals. We really appreciate all the people that purchase vouchers from SNAP for the cats and dogs at the shelter and then some of the dogs and cats can be spayed or neutered before they are adopted out and that helps their chances of finding a forever home.

If you are considering adopting a pet, please consider a shelter or rescue animal!. If you are planning to go out of town, please make sure you have someone to take care of your pets. ALWAYS remember that if you lose a pet, please call the shelter immediately to make a report and check to see if one of our officers may have brought him/her in.

We have lots of really cute puppies, dogs, cats and kittens who are looking for that special forever home. Some of our cats in the adoption room have been spayed or neutered by special people to help them find a home. Please call, email, or come by if you are looking to adopt or rescue a pet.

WE HAVE SOME WONDERFUL PETS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN SPAYED OR NEUTERED THAT NEED FOREVER TIMES AND SOME OF THEIR TIMES ARE RUNNING SHORT. PLEASE COME AND LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS!!!!!

"Shelter dogs aren't broken, they've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human, we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write, the ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Don't pity a shelter dog.... Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness by your side."

Adopting a loving pet can save a precious life. They all deserve a chance.
