“To the world you are just one person, but to a rescued pet you are the world.”
Our Featured Pet...
Our animals all come from a different background and all deal with the shelter environment differently. Some of the animals here are a little overwhelmed and therefore don’t photograph well-so please take that into consideration when viewing our pets. Stop by in person and fall in love with more than just a picture!
Who We Are
The Animal Center of Moore County is an open-access facility located in Carthage North Carolina (located approximately one hour south of Raleigh). Please visit our new web site: http://www.moorecountync.gov/acmc/index.html
The Animal Center needs volunteers to help walk dogs, socialize pets, work at special events, provide a foster home and more! If you are interested in helping, please contact Brooke Nelson(blnelson@moorecountync.gov).
Adopting a friend
Animal Adoptions are $85, which includes all initial vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, and a microchip. We maintain an “adoption wish list” if you do not find what you are looking for. We will do our best to contact you when that special furry someone arrives at our facility. E-mail Brooke Nelson (blnelson@moorecountync.gov) with your request.
