If you are thinking about not having your cat altered, that it would be cute to let her have kittens of her own, the cost of spaying/neutering one cat vs one litter of kittens is the difference of hundreds versus thousands. It's phenomenal. And if those kittens are not spayed/neutered, they can end up producing litters of their own. Your one cat could become many. PLEASE have your cat(s) altered, male and female both. They both cause the problems! Don't let the epidemic get worse than it already is. We Thank You!
News
We are still "full" at the Sanctuary with adult cats and are asking the public to consider adopting these wonderful animals. Unfortunately, we cannot take in anymore cats into our Sanctuary unless some of these beautiful felines find homes. The kitten season will be upon us soon and unfortunately we will not be able to take in any that have been on our waiting list. Being a no-kill shelter and having these animals housed in two private homes limits our space. Please consider us when deciding to adopt a pet.
Events
We will be at the 'Flea Market' at the Sussex Legion some time in April. Will let you know the exact date when known.
Sponsorship
If you have room in your heart, but not in your home, why not sponsor one of our fabulous felines. Your monthly donation of $15.00 will pay the cost of food and basic health care of the cat's stay at the sanctuary. Your donation is tax deductible. A photo and note from your sponsored cat will be included with your tax receipt. Feel free to give us a call to make an appointment to come and visit "your cat" during its stay with us. We have an active sponsor list, and more people are sponsoring cats each month. You can pick the cat you wish to sponsor from our website or leave it to us to decide. Who We Are
Paws and Whiskers Sanctuary Inc. is a non-profit registered charitable organization dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned felines. Run by a Board of 3 Directors and 7 Members, we rely heavily on fundraising events private donations. The felines are housed in three private homes and are not caged, they all live in a 'home' environment. We are a No-Kill Sanctuary. Please call for more information.

We have great volunteers who help us in a variety of areas. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please call us today! We are always looking for fresh faces.
Adopting a friend
Fee: $100.00 which includes:
- First veterinary examination
- Treatment for worms, earmites, fleas
- Nail clip
- Vaccinations with booster
- Second veterinary examination
- Neuter/Spay
- 30 day health guarantee
