Who We Are
Montana Companion Animal Network (MTCAN) was founded January 25, 2008 for one purpose; to end the senseless loss of life of healthy, adoptable companion animals who through no fault of their own, find themselves homeless in shelters all around Montana.
Montana Companion Animal Network is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit corporation able to accept charitable donations and contributions under the Internal Revenue Code.
Our “vision” will take a community to accomplish, but lives depend on us to bring about this change. Through MTCAN’s many programs and services we hope to begin the process by:
Providing education and information to children and adults through our Community Education Outreach Program
Promoting spay/neuter and tagging by networking with private and governmental organizations
Facilitating reuniting lost & found animals with their rightful owners with a free web site service
Offering alternatives to owners who feel they must give up their pet companions
Assisting owners with various services such as financial, medical and home services, so they can keep their pets
