Who We Are
AniMeals exists as a food bank for animals. An estimated ten million animals are abandoned every year. Many of the shelters and rescue groups that house and feed these animals are struggling.
The sole purpose of our work is to keep these animals fed.
It is the mission of AniMeals to ensure there are NO MORE HUNGRY ANIMALS. Our organization works to end hunger in animals by:
-Providing meals to the furry members of families-in-crisis/in-need
-Supplying bulk quantities of food to animal rescue groups and shelters
-Networking food out to animal foster-families who provide temporary housing to animals waiting to be placed
-Delivering food and supplies to the pets of homebound or disabled individual's living on fixed incomes.
We've recently expanded our work to include a small rescue operation, which consists of saving the lives of animals marked for euthanasia. We pull these animals out of overcrowded shelters and put them into our foster network until we can find forever homes for them. Once they are in our care, we get them spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and micro-chipped so that they never have to face the threat of euthanasia again.
