Who We Are
MOUNTAIN VIEW KENNELS is the home of the Jelka Arnesen Elkhound Retirement Resort. Jelka was my puppy. She was killed by a vehicle that never even slowed down and it was totally my fault. Broken-hearted and not able to get another "baby", I started looking at older dogs that needed new homes. That's when I started the Jelka Arnesen Elkhound Retirement Resort. If the dogs I take in will do well in a home environment, I try to place them. If not, they "retire" here forever. JAERR is a NOT FOR PROFIT 501(c)3 and donations made to us are federally tax deductible This is a beautiful kennel where I also board, train and teach people the advantages of positive motivational training. Please NOTE that I do not have the Lhasa Apso's at my kennel. They are fostered at a residential facility. You must contact them DIRECTLY for information regarding that breed.
Adopting a friend
You can email or phone me for an application. Home checks and references are mandatory. There is an adoption fee for each pet adopted from us. We will do out of state and out of country adoptions. Adequate transportation arrangements and costs are the adopter's responsibility. Please NOTE that I am not the contact for the Lhasa Apso's. Their contact information is available on each individual listing.
