Ringo is a 1 year old neutered male dog. He is black and white with short hair. He is medium sized and somewhat territorial. While he gets along with other dogs and people he would be happiest in a home with no other dogs. He may be a good guard dog as he is territorial and will dominate over other dogs. He would be a great 1 person dog to have as your best friend..

In 2007 we facilitated the spay or neuter of 450 pets in the Libby and Troy area and in 2008 our total was 479. The first four months of 2009 we have spayed or neutered 115 pets. We can help you.

Since the end of 2005 we have taken in, spayed or neutered, brought up to date on meds, and adopted out 1299 animals! .

The June meeting of Kootenai Pets for Life will be held Monday, July 13 at the new Kootenai Pets for Life Shelter at 125 City Shop Road in Libby. You don't have to be an active member to come to the meeting. We appreciate everyone's input. If you have questions or need directions call 295-5735 (kpfl).

Everyone Welcome

Every day we have volunteers either working at the shelter with the animals or working in the background to provide funding for every animal and supply needed at the shelter.Becoming a member does not obligateanyone to volunteer his/her time. You can be an active or a silent member - the choiceis yours!

We have tax exempt status, which means contributions made to KPFL are deductible as charitable contributionson your federal and state income tax returns (subject to rules and limitations the IRS puts on contributions.)

Who We Are

Kootenai Pets for Life is a non-profit volunteer organization providing shelter and care for the stray and abandoned pets of the Libby/Troy area and offering foster care, veterinary assistance, and education. We promote spaying and neutering of pets and can assist people in keeping their pets by providing help with their Spay/Neuters if they are unable to manage them theirselves.
