Who We Are
Pampered Pets Rescue and Transport is a dog rescue group who believes that -- every great dog deserves a great home! We will work to help a homeless dog of any breed gain his second chance at a forever home.
Homeless dogs come to us from shelters, as strays or by owner-surrender. Once they are in our care, our all-volunteer group works hard to ensure the dogs' physical and emotional needs are met through home-based fostering. During foster care, we evaluate the temperament and activity level of each dog. All the while, we seek that perfect match in a permanent home -- one that best meets the dog's particular needs and most appreciates his/her individual personality.
Before they leave us, all dogs adopted from Pampered Pets are on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. They're up-to-date on vaccinations. And, of course, they are spayed or neutered to prevent any future homeless ones.
Adopting a friend
If you would like one of our foster fur children to become a part of your family, the first step is to fill out an Adoption Application. You can obtain one by requesting we email an application to you. Requirement for adoption are: you must be 18 years of age or older; you must have identification showing your present address; you must have the knowledge and consent of your landlord; you must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, support and care of a pet; you must have a fenced in yard or agree to walk the dog on a leash at all time; you must provide past and current vet references; all animals on your premise MUST be spayed or neutered (barnyard animals are the exception); you must have a viable, steady source of income; you must agree that the dog will be an "inside" dog and last, you must submit to a homecheck. There will be a $175 adoption fee unless otherwise stated.
Again, we will try match the right dog to the right family which means that the dog you pick out may not be "right" for your family and your situation. But that doesn't mean we may not have another "perfect" dog for you.
