Laurel Animal Rescue League
The Animal Rescue League of Laurel/Jones County has been a safe haven for abused, neglected and abandoned animals for over twenty years. We provide food, shelter, medical care, love and compassion for homeless animals in Jones County and surrounding areas that so desparately need our help.
We house an average of 80 to 120 kittens, pups, cats and dogs. Our facility is a NO-KILL, non-profit, 501c3 organization and receives no federal or state funding. We try to provide the best care possible through fundraising and donations from generous and caring folks like you. Your support can make a difference in the life of an animal that depends on our facility for their survival. Please take a moment and browse through our website and meet some of our wonderful pets.
Our mission is to provide shelter and medical care for abandoned, homeless dogs and cats. We try to physically and emotionally rehabilitate the animals in our care in hopes of finding them suitable, loving homes. The Animal Rescue League works hard to bring to an end the overpopulation problem in our area by promoting responsible pet care and encouraging all owners to spay and neuter their pets.
Adopting a friend
We would like to invite and encourage you to come by the Animal Rescue League and visit the animals. You will find mixed breeds, large and small, but most importantly, loving and devoted animals that will be so happy to be a part of your life. Sharing your home with a four-legged friend can be one of life's greatest joys. Your support will make a big difference in the lives of our animals.
Cats, dogs, kittens and puppies may be viewed and adopted from the Animal Rescue League at 2511 Moose Drive in Laurel. We are open Monday through Friday. 8 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. and Saturday, 8 A.M. to noon. We are closed on Sunday.
Please come by for a visit, find out what you can do to help animals in need and/or adopt a new friend!
The dog adoption fee is $35. The cat adoption fee is $25. All adult pets are spayed or neutered, are up to date with vaccinations.
How You Can Help
The Animal Rescue League of Laurel/Jones County receives no federal or state funding and relies only on donations. As an independent, non-profit organization, our facility would not exist if we did not receive support from caring individuals. With your assistance, we can continue to protect and care for the abandoned, abused and neglected animals. With your help, we can also continue to educate and inform the community and promote our adoption and sponsorship programs.
Please consider making a contribution to help us in our on-going efforts to care for animals in need. You may choose from one or more of the options below. Membership dues and donations may be made online or mailed to:
