The Panola County Humane Society is holding an adoption drive this Saturday, Feb. 6th at Batesville Wal-Mart. The drive will be located near the gas pumps and be there from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. The Humane Society hopes that people from the community will consider adopting and remember these dogs and puppies will make wonderful Valentine's gifts for your loved ones. Foster homes for pets are also needed, and any volunteers who would like to help with the adoption drive are welcome at any time!

The Panola County Humane Society is hosting a 5k run for the homeless pets of Panola County on May 15th, 2010 in downtown Batesville (the same weekend as SpringFest). Registration information will be added to the page as it becomes available. This is the 3rd year this run as has taken place during our annual Springfest. If you are interested in volunteering to help with planning and carrying out the event please contact us.
We hold our monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of every month at the Batesville Presbyterian Church. Meetings begin at 5:15 p.m. All members encouraged to attend. If you are interested in becoming a member please come and check out what our organization is about. This is the perfect opportunity to become a member. If you are interested in adoption of foster care this is also a perfect chance to meet everyone and get involved! Hope to see you there!
