New members are always welcome and needed. Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Carthage-Leake County Library (Ramzy Hall) at 114 E. Franklin St. in Carthage, Mississippi.

Who We Are
Central MS T.A.I.L.S. (Taking Animals Into Loving Shelter) was formed in 2010 by members of the community dedicated to animal rescue in the local area. Our mission is to establish and maintain a no-kill shelter and sanctuary serving the counties of Central Mississippi. We are registered with the state of Mississippi as a Charity and a Non-Profit Agency.
Our goals are: ~ To rehabilitate and socialize our rescued animals. ~ To instill in these animals the ability to trust, love and be loved, either again or for the first time. ~ To facilitate the placement of stray and unwanted animals into loving homes. ~ To educate the community regarding pet care and the importance of spaying and neutering. ~ To facilitate low-cost spay and neuter sources to the community with special consideration given to the low-income, disabled, and elderly population of Central Mississippi.
Come Visit Us
Until a shelter can be built, the animals we are able to accept are fostered by T.A.I.L.S. members in private homes. We are currently looking for more foster parents. Please call 601-267-0136 if you would like to work in this area.
