We are a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2000 by a group of concerned citizens seeking to end euthanasia as a viable means of controlling the pet overpopulation in Hancock County, Mississippi. Over the past few years, FRIENDS has grown and developed programs, events and educational opportunities to enhance the health and well being of the animals in Hancock County.

We feature animals in foster homes, as well as animals available at the Hancock County Animal Shelter.

The Hancock County Animal Shelter is located at 7175 Texas Flat Rd, Kiln, MS. Phone (228) 466-4516. Adoptions fees are just $75.00 for dogs and $60.00 for cats and include spay/neuter, first vaccinations, rabies shot and microchip.
