Our rescued cats who have been adopted into lifetime homes.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW/HAVE BEFORE APPLYING
1. We DON'T allow our cats to be declawed.
2. We only adopt to people who keep their cats indoors only.
3. We only adopt to people who take their pets to a vet for annual vaccinations.
4. We only adopt to people who have spayed/neutered their current and/or previous pets.
5. We only adopt to people less than a 2 hour drive away from us.
6. If your pets are not a part of your family, chances are we will not adopt to you.
7. Our adoption fee is $85.00 per cat.
8. We don't usually adopt to households with children under 5, however, we go application by application.
9. We require an adoption application, adoption contract, home visit when possible, prior to any cat/kitten going home.
10. All of our cats and kittens are combo tested, vaccinated for the upper respiratory diseases (Rhinovirus, Calici, Panleukopenia/distemper), spayed or neutered, treated for fleas and wormed prior to adoption.
We are a no-kill rescue with common sense, we do not euthanzie any healthy cat/kitten, but provide medical care and adoption. If there is a chance for the animal to live a quality life, that animal will remain with us until adopted.
Please note: We do not adopt to college students living away from home, too many pets end up either left on campus when the student leaves or dumped at the local shelter. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21 years.
MAKE A DONATION TO OUR CATS
We gratefully accept donations which help us maintain the good health of our cats. We always have vet bills to pay, food and supplies to buy etc.
NEED A SPECIAL CAT FOOD AND CAN'T FIND A SOURCE?
Let us recommend Coast Health & Nutrition, located in Gulfport MS. When we moved up here we were having problems with the food we were feeding our cats and looking for a source of Innova brand cat food. We found Denise and Don Keyser who own Coast Health & Nutrition. We were surprised to find they not only stock very, very good cat and dog food but also health supplements and food for people. They are a wonderful and friendly couple who will bend over backward to help you with your needs in health foods. Stop by and meet them at their store, 12100 US Hwy 49, across from the Big K-Mart.
NATIONAL MAINE COON RESCUE
