About Mutts-n-StuffMutts -n- Stuff, founded in August of 2000, is an all-volunteer organization of foster homes, set up to rescue and find good homes for unfortunate animals. We have foster homes all over the St. Louis metro area ranging from the Festus area out to the Troy area and work with the Jefferson County, Gasconade, Franklin County, St. Louis County, and St. Charles pounds. We mainly foster puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats; however, we have had a pig, a chicken, a hamster, and a rabbit also.We are an IRS certified, 501(c)(3) non-profit charity (so all donations are tax-deductible) and all of our foster homes are licensed by the state of Missouri. Because we are an all-volunteer charity, all donations go directly to helping animals in one way or another. Our purpose
is to promote interest and participation in the rescue, foster, and adoption
of animals from area pounds, from owners who are dying or who have died,
or who are in need of our help. Basically, we try to match animals in
need with good adoptive homes. In addition, we are strong advocates of
spaying or neutering your pets. In fact, when funds permit, we provide
help for those who can't afford to have their pets spayed or neutered. Say "Hello" to Yasmine!
Yasmine is a beautiful flashy mahogany fawn boxer girl, 5 yrs. old, cropped and docked, weighing about 53 lbs. She has big brown eyes that are always happy. She is housebroken, crate-trained, UTD on shots, micro-chipped, heartworm neg. and on preventative medicine, and on Frontline.
She loves to go for car rides and nice long walks. She is a very happy girl, always flashing you a big smile and a wiggly boxer tail. She is good with other dogs, but deserves to be "number one!" She enjoys being right up by you, snuggling, and giving big boxer kisses.
Yasmine was turned into a shelter when her owners lost their home and had to move into a very small apartment. They said she is a wonderful dog and did nothing to deserve losing her family!!!
Yasmine would like a loving forever home. Could it be your home? If you want a boxer girl who will light up your life for years to come, contact Mutts-N-Stuff. Even better, fill out an on-line application. Come meet Yasmine at our weekly "meet & greet" events. Places, dates, and times are listed on our website.
Adoption fee is $250, homevisit is required, secure fenced yard a must, and adoptions within a 50-mile radius of St. Louis ONLY.
Kit Kat was turned into a shelter due to "allergies" after having this cat for five years. She is a beautiful cat with a Persian coat - but not the Persian face. She had lived with her family for 5 years, since she was a kitten. Not surprisingly, she was very traumatized at losing her home. She is a sweet girl that loves attention and loves petting.
Once she transitions into a new home where she can be happy again, she is a lovely cat and her previous family describes her as follows:
Kit Kat likes to be around people. She will follow you and enjoys her one on one time with you. She is going to be best as an only child. She likes to watch TV with you. She likes to sit with her lady friends when they are applying their makeup in the morning. She loves play toys and chases paper across the floor. She is easily entertained by shadows on the wall.
Please call or email if you are interested in Kit Kat. She is five years old. Her adoption fee will be $95. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, felv/fiv tested, flea preventative, and microchipped. She is a sweet girl that needs to feel secure and comfortable in her own home again.
HELLO! My name is BOGART! Here are a few things about me that you might like to know:
Sincerely,
BoGaRT
NOTE: Bogart is a great all around cat
Hallie is a long haired calico female cat. She is very friendly, sweet and well mannered. She enjoys attention and is easy to handle. When she visited the vet's office, they were all impressed how good she was. The vet believes she is 1 to 1 1/2 years old.
Hallie's story: This last Halloween, Hallie appeared at a barn in New Melle, Missouri. At first the resident dogs chased her away, but she came back later. She did not have a collar, and she was very hungry. Hallie was left in the barn where she would have shelter, food and water and some protection from the outdoors. The hope was, if she was a neighborhood cat, she would find her way back home.
Hallie was not seen until the next evening, when she came running up to her foster dad at the barn. She came back into the barn and seemed very hungry once again. Unfortunately, the resident barn cat appeared at that point, and chased and attacked Hallie several times. Hallie ran away from the barn cat, but came back to the barn half an hour later, and was bleeding, apparently from the scuffles from the barn cat. Since no one wanted her to have another encounter with the barn cat, and it appeared Hallie was not wise about the outdoors, her foster parents decided to take her home.
The next day, her foster mom took her to the vet. Fortunately, her wounds were minor and were already healing. However, Hallie did not have a microchip, so her foster parents could not identify her previous owner.
When Hallie visited the vet the next day, once again she was a model patient. However, she tested positive for FIV. Because Hallie was such a nice cat, her foster parents had planned to keep her if her former owner could not be found. But since her foster parents already have a cat who is FIV negative, they will not be able to put Hallie with their cat, so that is why she is available for adoption.
Hallie would be perfect for someone wanting a single cat, or a person with a FIV positive cat looking for a companion. Hallie enjoys being petted. She purrs when you pet her and often just when you talk to her. Hallie is a relatively quiet cat, but she greets you when you first see her. When you talk to her, she will answer you. Hallie likes the companionship of both men and women.
Let us know if you can open your heart and home to Hallie.
