Our incoming pooches will be here very soon! Please stay tuned for more info. If you are ready to add a new pooch to your family we very much encourage you to send an application. Applications that we have in hand are given priority for our program dogs plus we may possibly be able to find a great match for a waiting family through networking for homeless Corgis who have not yet made it into a rescue program.

COME VISIT US!
***When we have no scheduled events, arrangements can be made to meet our dogs by appointment. ***
IN THE SPOTLIGHT:
Four adorable girls are looking for a happily ever after. Please click our adoptable dogs link to learn more about these sweeties.
OUR DOGS:
Welsh Corgis arrive into our rescue program all the time. We typically have 2-4 new dogs coming in each month. Some never make it to our website - why? Because some dogs are matched and directly placed with approved applicants on our waiting list.
We support Corgi Aid and encourage you to visit their main site http://www.corgiaid.org and see all the good that they do for rescued Corgis everywhere!
So you didn't see a dog that would work for you? See our Adopting a Friend section below for important information!
Who We Are
Faery Tails Corgi Rescue of St. Louis Inc. is an all-volunteer, state licensed, 501(c)3 tax exempt, non-profit organization. We do not have a kennel and our volunteers foster the dogs in their homes until just the right home can be found.
Our Mission Statement:
We are devoted to providing care and placement into quality adoptive homes for displaced, neglected, and/or abused Pembroke & Cardigan Welsh Corgis, as well as other unfortunate dogs. We are committed to enhancing the human-dog relationship through education.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adoption, click here and download an application.
AFTER you have submitted an application, we will arrange for you to meet the dog you are interested in, and explain our adoption contract to you. In all cases, the final placement decision is based on suitability of each dog for a particular home and will not be made until the application has been approved, and the home visit completed. Our contract stipulates that if, for any reason, you can't keep your adopted friend, s/he must come back to our group! Because of this, we tend to be very thorough and particular in our adoptions. Typically we do not place our dogs in homes with very young children - although we will consider families with older children who are considerate of animals.
Adoption donations are typically $175.00-$300.00 for our dogs. All of our dogs receive: rabies, DHLPP and bordetella vaccines, spay/neuter, deworming, flea preventative, treatment for any known illnesses or medical conditions, microchip ID, and heartworm test/preventative. Along with their new pet, adopters receive: a training book Taking Care of Puppy Business OR Family Friendly Dog Training , heartworm preventative, a Premier martingale collar (safety collar), a buckle collar, and a leash.
Didn't see your perfect dog right now? We have new dogs coming in at various times and there is no telling when one will arrive. Fill out an adoption application and send it to us. Approved applicants on our waiting list are considered first for dogs arriving into our program that we think might be a good match for them. Some of our dogs never make it online but are instead matched directly with approved applicants.
We typically place our dogs in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. We will consider placement outside of this area, unless a note appears on the particular dog's bio. We do not ship dogs - you will have to come to St. Louis to pick up your new dog.
Donations and Volunteering
We are always grateful to receive cash donations, or donations of supplies:stamps, mailing envelopes, leashes & collars, premium dog food, etc. Some of our dogs have special medical needs and donations can be made directly towards their medical treatments. We can also use help with transporting dogs and fostering.
FOSTER HOMES are a great need! For every foster parent there is one more dog saved from the shelters, from being unwanted, and sometimes from an abusive home. Please consider fostering! Typical time frames for fostering are from 2-4+ weeks. It can be rewarding and lots of fun.
