Our Mission
Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501c3 non-profit that takes in unwanted, stray, and lost pets in the Kansas City and surrounding areas, with a focus on rural communities with little resources. We provide veterinary care, rehabilitation, and most of all, love and compassion. Once the animals are ready for their next step in life, we thoroughly screen adopters, and work to place each pet into a loving forever home, fit to meet their needs. It is our mission to benefit the community as a whole.
Adoption Policy
1. Fill out application
2. Meet and greet scheduled once approved.
3. If the meet and greet goes well, you may possibly be able to adopt at that time.
4. Home check require before animal moving in
Once your application has been approved, we will pass your information to the foster family to schedule a meet & greet. This process can take several hours to several days, as we are entirely volunteer based.
There are times we get multiple applicants for a dog. In those instances, we contact people in the order applications are received. We will do our best to notify you if this occurs.
