We update our site constantly and we try to keep our photos updated too. Though we have limited knowledge of our dog's backgrounds, we can tell you the sad stories of how they came to be with us and that our wonderful foster families are taking good care of them, while they wait for you to adopt them permanently.

We have only non-aggressive dogs available for adoption. We will tell you of any health problems that we are aware of. Some health issues don't show up while others show their ugly side in the short time we have the dog/animal...
BUT... We will be truthful and honest with all that we do know.
We don't take in cats but have helped place a few in good, permanent homes.
If you are interested in adopting a dog or one of our many horses, Please contact:

We are a small group of volunteers that love helping animals in need.
Purpose: To provide medical treatment and safe shelter; to protect and enhance their quality of life. We spay or neuter to help stop the overpopulation of pets, to help lessen the number of abandoned animals in our world today.
Mission Statement: Paws and Hooves is committed to saving abused, homeless/abandoned animals and rehabilitating them for proper adoptions. We provide love, shelter, food, human companionship, medical care, and spay-neuter services through local veterinarians until a permanent home is found. We place each animal into a loving, appropriate and permanent home, and working diligently to ensure that each animal is placed according to his or her individual needs.
Our goal... is to find a match for our adoptable pets with a compatible family. We get to know each and every pet we have up for adoption, and try to be as informative as possible about the specific behaviors of the dog/puppy that you may be interested in.
Dogs, Cats, and Horses are seen by appointment only as these animals are kept in our homes, not in a shelter. Some foster families work all day and then take care of the dogs/animals at night and on weekends. We all do the best we can to get back with all e-mail or calls in a timely fashion.
We are a volunteer organization funded entirely by our adoption fees. Young dogs will help older dogs ... We count on you understanding that your adoption fees help defray the costs of caring for our foster dogs. We are delighted to accept amounts in U.S. funds for our adoption fees to help other dogs in our care. Payment must be made by Cash, bank cashier's check, or certified money order.
