Burge Bird Rescue is a non-profit organization that takes in unwanted pet birds, provides the veterinary care they need, and helps find them forever homes. We serve the Kansas City area. Birds are housed at Burge Bird Services, the veterinary clinic owned by Dr. Julie Burge.
Adopting a friend
We give preference to our established clients, but we welcome contact from any responsible potential pet bird owner. We do NOT ship birds, and we rarely adopt to breeders. Adoption fees vary depending on the species, age, health, and tameness of each bird.
