Hello and thank you for viewing our adoptable animals. We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter. Our mission is to get all animals placed in compatible homes. My animals come mainly from kill shelters before euthanization happens. I do not believe any of these beautiful animals deserve to be put to death and I do believe that there is a home out there for each one. Please visit our animals and I hope you can find the animal that is right for your home.
We are located in rural Gatewood, Mo, on Z hwy (old Tucker area)
about 4 hrs south of St. Louis and 2 hrs from Cape Girardeau. All of our animals are free range; No pens, chains or cages for us. We love to run, jump and play and I hope your home is the same way. You may call and set up an appointment to visit or pick out your next great pet.
We currently have over 100 dogs at the shelter ranging from 4 weeks to 8 years old. Please give us a call and see if we can match you with the perfect pet. We are licensed and inspected by the State of Missouri agricultural dept. so please know the health of our animals is priority #1

Adopting a friend
Adopted animals are the most loving and thankful animals. They do know what you have done for them and in exchange you will get an animal that loves you unconditionally. Please adopt and save a life.
We do charge an adoption fee of $40 per animal (I have had to raise the adoption fee from $25 to $40 due to the rising costs of dog food and supplies). We only use Purina dog/cat foods, Iams, Eukanuba and you can ask what is needed at the time of your adoption if you would like to donate. Spaying and neutering is a requirement after adoptions are made if your new adopted friend has not already been altered.

We are located in Southeast Missouri and a visit can be scheduled by calling the shelter phone or emailing us. We are a home based rescue shelter so I do require a phone call and appointment ahead of time.
