If you have any gently used pet items that our cute kitties and dynamite dogs could use during their stay at Hard Luck Hounds, please consider dropping them by the Grandview Animal Hospital.
Collars, leashes, bedding, toys and old towels add a touch-of-home to the kennel for these pets without families of their own. Your generosity and kindness will add a little more comfort to their lives before a forever family becomes available!
Who We Are
Hard Luck Hounds is operated out of the Grandview Animal Hospital by Dr. Snyder and her animal-loving staff. The vast majority of the pets available for adoption are transferred from area shelters where both space and time were running short for the loveable companion animals.
All Hard Luck Hounds (and cats) are spayed/neutered and fully vetted prior to adoption. The animals are healthy emotionally, and physically when you welcome them into your heart and home. And, to prevent them from becoming stray, all Hard Luck Hounds leave micro-chipped.

Some animals enter our adoption program not needing much in regards to veterinary care. Some, unfortunately, require more after leading a life of neglect. Fees are graduated according to the amount of veterinary care needed and we do offer discounted adoption fees if you happen to be one of the special people to welcome a senior pet or a pair of animals into your life.
