ROCKY! You’ll wonder how you ever lived without a beloved beagle after having one of these happy, cheerful pooches in your life for a while. Lots of fun and very affectionate, Rocky is extremely friendly and gets along well with people and animals. Rocky needs a great home where he can venture and do what beagles do best. Rocky is up-to-date on his shots, frontlined, & neutered! Come by the shelter to meet him, but I must warn you- you may fall head over heels!
News
Just recently 4 members from TASTC went to Petfinder's Adoption Options in Memphis, TN. We would like to thank all of the speakers, Petfinder, PetCo, and ASPCA for the wonderful experience. We cannot wait to apply what we have learned!
Who We Are
Since May 2006, The Animal Shelter of Texas County has assisted in over 1,000 pet rescues and adoptions. We have accomplished this without a facility. We have been able to complete this by placing these homeless animals in foster homes, using our resources with Petfinder and other websites, and working closely with our local veterinarians.
In July 2008 we have completed our goal of opening the doors of our newly built shelter providing homes to dogs and cats. Which since then we have adopted over 100 pets.
TASTC is a Voice for the Animals, To rescue, nurture, and adopt animals in need is the driving force in our daily efforts to save the lives of innocent animals.

New parents are asked to agree to our adoption contract which clarifies our regulations and expectations for their new friend.
