Our Featured Pet...
Azalea is such a sweet girl! She was found abandoned in an old barn in the middle of the cold winter where she was trying desperately to keep her litter of puppies warm. Even in that horrible situation she was a great mom and kept all of her babies safe. All of her babies have been adopted and are in loving homes and now it is Azalea's turn to find a new home. Azalea gets along well with other dogs, she can be a bit growly at a new dog when they are first meeting, but she is all talk and no action and within minutes she'll be playing. She currently participates daily in day care and interacts and plays with upwards of 60 dogs per day. Azalea is VERY laid back and would much rather lounge on the couch with you than go out for a run with you. She is a lover...she wants to snuggle up against you...the closer the better for her. She is just the sweetest girl and she really deserves to get a wonderful home. This is a GOOD Dog! Please consider giving our "Zaley" a permanent home!

The Second Annual Rummage Sale benefiting PAWS and TARA (The Animal Rescue Alliance) is scheduled for September 27th and 28th. We are accepting item donations now for the sale and we hope to also see you here on the last weekend in September to do some shopping! All proceeds go to benefit the homeless animals for both PAWS and TARA. Donations and purchases are tax deductible. Call us if you have something you'd like to donate.
Who We Are
We are an organization determined to work for the benefit of animals in need. Whether it be helping to find new homes for our adoptable friends or working in connection with local and City agency's to investegate cases of cruelty and neglect. We have a large facility and staff that is able to handle a wide variety of these types of issues as well as working with animals with behavioral, socialization, or training issues.
Adopting a friend
All dogs adopted from PAWS come with 6 months of free day care at A Dog's Fun Playce (a $2,700.00 value). All dogs adopted from PAWS will be current on their vaccinations and spayed or neutered prior to their release.
Come Visit Us!
We are housed inside of A Dog's Fun Playce located just north of 79th Street on Wornall Road. We are open 7 days a week. Hours of operation are 7am to 6pm Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm Sat and 9am to 4pm Sunday. If you wish to meet one of our dogs in person the best time to do so is between Noon and 2pm every day. PLEASE CALL AHEAD however as some of our animals are in foster homes and may not be in the facility every day.
