All of our animals are special in their own way. Each one has his or her special family waiting for them. When chosen both the pet and the person/family will know they are fortunate to have found each other.
Who We Are
We are a small, private shelter/rescue that formed when the animal shelter in our town closed. We rescue shelter dogs, stray dogs, retired mill dogs and unwanted owned dogs. We also take in dogs from folks who, for one reason or another, are no longer able to care for them.
We have all ages from babies to seniors and all breeds - purebred, designer and just plain, wonderful critters.
All dogs are crate-trained. Because of the number of dogs who are in our care, we are unable to completely house train them. Therefore, it is the adoptive family's responsibility to housebreak their pet. Some owner surrendered pets are trained but may have an accident or two at first.
To the best of our knowledge all pets are healthy at the time of adoption. If the animal should have an on-going health problem, the adopting family/person will be given ALL information concerning the condition at the time of adoption. They will have to be willing to make sure their new pet will receive the medication/treatment needed.
Because the need is so great in this area, we will list pets for people who need to find their pet(s) a new home and can keep them until a suitable place can be found.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee for dogs is $85.00. That includes spay/neuter, routine shots including Rabies, dental (if needed) and worming. All dogs are heartworm tested if they are old enough and on preventative.
Our adoption requirements are fairly straightforward. If you rent your home we require landlord approval and proof that the pet deposit has been paid. We also need the name and number of your Veterinarian.
Our adoption fee for cats is $25.00. That includes spay/neuter, FVRCP shot and worming. Adoption requirements are the same.
