We have received a young adult Boston that needs expensive medical treatment on his eyes if you would like to donate we would greatly appreciate it. His name is Bo Jack.
Donations: In Loving Memory of "Sparkler" a 16 year old Boston Terrier.
A special neighbor Heather that also has a blind Boston donated this for her neighbors Jim & Marcia St Louis MO that lost their Sparkler.
Who We Are
Eastern MO Boston Terrier Rescue was formed over four years ago and we are a member of the National Boston Terrier Rescue Group. We cover the State of Missouri and help out with the bordering States when asked or needed.
The formation of our rescue group came about when we saw the need that precious Boston Terriers were being euthanasized in Shelters and never having the chance to know a loving home and family.
We rescue owner surrenders, strays, puppymillers, any Boston Terrier.
We also work with aggressive Boston Terriers on an individual basis depending on time and room or will try to contact another Boston Terrier Rescue group to see if they can take this type of Boston in.
Adopting a friend
If you are looking for a "perfect" adult Boston Terrier you have come to the wrong website because many of the adult Bostons have behavior issues or other issues so you need to be a very patient person to work through this. This is the reason we match the Boston to the family and the family to the Boston.
We adopt to the State of Missouri and the bordering States. We do not ship our Boston Terriers. If you are interested in adopting our website "www.emobostons.com" has an application form to fill out and submit by e-mail. A fenced yard is required for adoption.
Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted. Please be patient because we work with volunteers that have other jobs and commitments. After your vet and personal references have been verified we will contact you by phone to set up a home visit. If you have other pets we will bring the Boston Terrier along to check his or her compatibility with your pets unless you live in a bordering State and then we will ask you to bring your pet along when we meet for the adoption process after another rescue group has completed your home visit.
After approval we require an adoption contract and a fee. The adoption fees vary from $250-$500 depending on the age and health of the Boston Terrier.
Except for Boston puppies all our Boston Terriers have been spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, wormed, vaccinated with rabies and distemper. The puppies will have the medical treatments or vaccinations that they are old enough for. You will also receive a bag of dog food, dog biscuits, harness, vet record, and any other information pertaining to your Boston Terrier.
We are here to call for support and help if you have questions later about your Boston Terriers behavior or health or refer you to a professional.
Donations & Foster Homes
We welcome donations or gift certificates to help with the vet bills, toys, harnesses, blankets, leashes etc.
We are not a facility or shelter. Our Boston Terriers are in homes so we do not invite visitors but we do bring the Bostons along for the home visit providing you are close enough to us.
