KAYLA - Kayla was abandoned by her owner. Her round shape and bob tail are part of her charm. She likes to play and loves attention – petting and so forth. She is eager to be around people and gets along with many of the cats here at the shelter. Kayla is very loveable and affectionate
We're happy to report that we are in the process of raising funds to put toward our new expansion project. There is an old barn located next door to us that we would like to renovate and eventually take in more homeless cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. The completion of this project will aid us in quadrupling our rescue efforts, especially with dogs and puppies!
Who We Are
Founded in 2000, Country Acres Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, St. Louis based organization who's primary concern lies with the over population and unnecessary suffering of domestic animals in our community.
We are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, socialization and placement of homeless, abandoned, and abused/neglected cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies. At our West County shelter, we provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment to pets waiting for loving and caring adoptive homes. In addition, we are committed to promoting better care and understanding of animals through education with an emphasis on the importance of spaying and neutering.
Country Acres Rescue does not euthanize, unless a serious medical or behavioral problem exists.
Country Acres Rescue receives no government funding. We are entirely dependent on adoption fees and charitable donations from people like you.
Representatives from Country Acres Rescue do their best to ensure that all CAR pets and their new owners are the perfect match and that the pet you are adopting is “for life”. If you are interested in adopting a particular pet or just want more information about that pet or our adoption procedures in general, please go to our other website: www.countryacresrescue.org or you can call us directly at 636-577-2007.
We accept applications for our featured pets daily, either on-line or in person at our shelter.
All animals are examined by a veterinarian from either Clarkson-Wilson Veterinary Clinic or Webster Groves Animal Hospital. We make every effort to ensure good health before placement and we seek owners who will continue this practice after adopting from us.
Donations and Volunteer
Donate To Country Acres Rescue
Since CAR is funded solely on donations and adoption fees, we continually need funding and supplies to continue our crusade to help as many homeless, abused, and abandoned animals as possible.
You can donate money to CAR by either sending a check or money order (made payable to Country Acres Rescue) to the address at the top of the screen OR by donating on-line with a credit card using Paypal. You can access Paypal by clicking on the Paypal icon to the right.
In addition to monetary donations, the shelter animals also have other needs. EVERY item will be put to good use!
