Our featured kitty for November is Kali. Kali is a very affectionate, adult DLH who is still hoping for a forever home. She gets along very well with one or two other older kitties who will not bully her. Mature, gentle children should be OK, but no young children or toddlers please! Please visit our website at http://baststreasures.freeservers.com for the latest info on Kali and all our other carefully raised orphans.
News
HELP! We are currently at maximum capacity. We have many kittens that were rescued over the past few years and are now young adults. As bottle-fed babies, they are very people oriented, playful and loving, but have learned many of the skills that make them safer to leave than tiny kittens (who need careful watching and a kitten-proofed home). These are an excellent choice for someone who wants a cuddly companion but lacks the time to continually supervise and train a little one. Please consider them as you look for a furry heart to adopt. Adopting an older kitty will open a space for an unweaned waif in need of our help. We cannot take tiny orphans in until we place some of the ones currently waiting.
Who We Are
Our first rescue was in 1987. Bast's Treasures was put into operation in 1992 when we discovered that many shelters routinely euthanize unweaned kittens due to a lack of manpower. We specialize in kittens newborn to 6 weeks. We foster them in a loving cage free home-like atmosphere until they are old enough to place. We also have the occasional older kitten or adult cat available.
Adopting a friend
People interested in adopting (must be 18 years or older) are asked to complete an application. Approved applicants are then required to sign a Contract of Adoption. For more information on this, please visit our web site at: www.baststreasures.freeservers.com
