Remember rabies registration for your pets is due by January 1 of every year in Pevely Missouri. This ordinance is enforced. Healthy pets are happy pets! Adopt before you shop! Many homeless animals need homes! Petfinder.com will get you the pet of your choice. Full breed? Try a mix breed, there is more flavors in a mixbreed. If a companion dog is what your after a mixbreed will rock your world! We are in need of blankets for the babies again. Donations can be dropped off at the City of Pevely Animal Shelter between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm and If you want the animals to get them, drop them only at the shelter. Our shelter is warm but concrete floors are cold on old bones. Always needing blankets, toys and dog food this time of year. Keep those babies warm....its the law. Shelter is closed until February 13 2012. Officer Bonnie needs a break.
What we do
The City of Pevely Animal Control impounds animals for the incorporated city limits of Pevely, Missouri. We are a government facility that enforces the City of Pevely Municipal Ordinance. The animals impounded at this shelter are held for 5 business days and then available for adoption or euthanasia. All rescues licensed with the State of Missouri Dept of Agriculture are welcome to rescue from this shelter. Animals posted on this web sight are in need of rescue. However adoptions are available to ALL GOOD PET PARENTS. If you are interested in adopting a pet please contact us. Our goal is to save unwanted animals by adoptions and to prevent unwanted animals by sterilization.
Adopting a friend
Adopters must fill out an application to be reviewed before an animal is released to a new owner. Adoptions are free but a vet fee may apply if the animal is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption. We offer a low cost neuter / spay program through Dr. Jones Animal Clinic or a 30 day compliance contract by the adopters choice. All animals must be spayed or neutered and current with vacs at the adopters expense within 30 days after the adoption date.

We are located in the City of Pevely, Missouri at 501 Dunklin Industrial Drive. Our available hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 3:00PM. Please contact Bonnie Amsden at 636-475-7405. If you get a machine..Please leave a message and she will call you back ASAP or e-mail Dogcop201@yahoo.com for an appointment to visit the animals. Bonnie is the only Animal Control Officer for the City of Pevely and she is not always available for shelter assistance. The animals do not want to miss your visit so please contact Bonnie for an appointment.
