Alleviate the financial stress associated with your pet’s unexpected medical expenses and generate funds for our shelter at the same time! Simply apply for a ShelterCare Pet Insurance Program by using the ShelterCare banner-link.
Here’s how it works: ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Also, every time a completed application for a ShelterCare program is generated through our shelter’s website, we automatically receive a $25 donation to help cover common needs like blankets, litter and food. This donation is of no cost to you and provides us with essential funds. Make the right move and enroll today!
Some of our animals are brought to our adoption events at Noland Road Petco. If you'd like a certain animal to be there please let us know so we will be sure and bring him/her.

Foxwood Rescue, a foster home based corporation, is a licensed, non-profit 501c3, no-kill, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and care of abandoned, unwanted, and neglected companion animals. We are experienced caregivers for companion animals with specialties in , neonatal kittens and puppies.
Because of space restrictions we can only take in animals as space becomes available. We are currently overfull on cats and so cannot take anymore cats/kittens at this time.
We desperately need foster homes for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. If anyone has experience in bottle raising kittens then your help would be greatly appreciated!
As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on your donations. The adoption fee only covers a small fraction of our costs. Without your help we would not be able to keep up with our high level of care given to our animals. All donations are tax deductable!

Since we are foster home based, it is VERY IMPORTANT to call first to make an appointment to see the animal(s) you want to look at!
To help protect the kitten's health and wellbeing, we do not adopt out kittens until they are at least 2 to 2.5 lbs and at least 10 weeks of age. Adopting a kitten too young can lead to socialization and behavioral problems. Because of the severe pet overpopulation problem, no animals will leave our possession without being spayed/neutered.
An adoption application is required to be filled out prior to adoption. We do require that all kittens/cats be INDOOR ONLY! They can get in too much trouble outside (hit by car, diseases, abscesses, etc).
All animals are now microchipped - the $20 fee is included in the adoption fee.
Kitten/Cat Adoption Fee is $100 ($125 for purebred looking cats). The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Feline Leukemia test (under 4 months), Felv/FIV test (over 4 months), updated on vaccinations, treated for earmites, fleas, and microchipped.
Dog/Puppy Adoption Fee is $135 to $400 which includes spay/neuter, Heartworm test (over 6mos old), updated on vaccinations, treated for fleas, etc and microchipped.
For cost comparison - If you were to get a free/puppy kitten and get all it's shots, neuter/spay, felv/fiv test or heartworm test, flea treatment, microchip, etc through your vet it would cost you well over $400.
Our animals are viewable by APPOINTMENT ONLY (because most are in foster homes).
Some animals are brought to the following Petco store on Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays. If you would like a certain animal to be brought there for you to see then please give us a call.
