As many of you have heard the Neosho Animal shelter is closing its doors. We will now be taking our animals to the Joplin Humane Society. We thank all of those people that have helped us in the past and hope that you are willing to show the Joplin Humane society the same kind of caring that we have recieved. Good luck to all the animals looking for homes and have a wonderful time.

Who We Are

The Neosho Animal Shelter is Neosho's animal compliance facilty. We do our best in trying to help out the strays and pets that just need a new home. We get many dogs and cats in a week and are trying to do our best in finding homes for them before their time runs out. We only have so much room and even more animals coming in. Most of these animals still have alot of potential in making great pets and its our goal to help them in what way we can in finding them a good family to go home too. Some are even just lost pets that could't find thier way home and no one came to claim them. After so many days they are up for adoption. If you are looking for a new dog or cat to love, then please look through our pet list and see some of our wonderful animals available. Your new best friend just might be waiting for you.

Adopting a friend

To adopt a pet from the shelter is $35 for either a cat or dog. $25 of that goes for the spay or neuter of your pet. When you take your new pet to your vet to be spay or neutered you will have to show them your recept from the shelter and they will take $25 off the cost of the operation. If the pet is already spay or neutered the cost of adoption is only $10 !! The shelter also needs donations to keep it going. There are so many animals in need of homes and we try and do our best to take care of them till they find new homes. It takes alot of money to feed them and give them what they need. Donations like food, collars, toys, newspaper ect. are always greatly appreciated.
