Our Adoptable Pet List

Garfield!

Our Featured Pet...

Baxter, 2 years, neutered male My caretaker passed away. He was really nice to me and I miss him alot. I have been waiting here until my new family comes along. I was told to be patient, that not everyone wants an older cat and that the right person will come along. I am sweet and a talkative fellow. I am not the cuddley kind but do like being petted. I would make a great companion pet and I get along really good with other cats. I bet if we had sometime to spend together we would hit it off just fine. For adoption or questions, call Lynn at 417-345-5048.

News

Home For Life Cat Sanctuary's Outreach Program works, in cooperation with the City of Buffalo, to provide food, litter, treats, toys, etc. to help aid with the comfort of our animals during their stay at the Pound. The Outreach Program has secured donations for several years from the SAM's Club in Springfield for their broken food bags. This helps with a portion of the animals needs. Collection of aluminum drink cans and aluminum cat/dog food cans are accepted. If you are interested in donating aluminum, please sack keeping the aluminum drink cans seperate from aluminum cat/dog food cans. These can be dropped off at the Pound during business hours. If you have questions, contact us at 417-345-5048. CURRENTLY, the Outreach Program is sponsoring the "PAUSE FOR PAWS CAMPAIGN". Our goal is to build adoption facilities for both Canines and Felines at the City Pound. Projected materials cost for these two faciilties is $20,000. If you would like to donate, checks are made payable to: HFLCS - Outreach (CP). The mailing address is: 225 New Hope Road, Buffalo, MO 65622.

Who We Are

Our business hours are 8-5pm, Monday through Friday. We are so fortunate to be a "no-kill" City Pound due to the committed efforts of our staff to offer and increase adoptions, along with the "much appreciated rescue groups" who help us with our canine/feline residents. Please contact us; adoptions are vital to our success.

Adopting a friend

Before taking your new friend home, an adoption agreement is completed and the fee collected. The spay/neuter is scheduled and completed prior to release of the animal to you. The adoption fees are non-refundable. We do have a return policy for all animals adopted. Our adoption fees: Canines - Males $60, Females $60; Felines $60. All of our animals receive basic vaccinations (including rabies) and are wormed. In addition, felines are tested for felv/fiv.
