Who We Are
The Missouri House Rabbit Society is an all volunteer, non-profit rabbit welfare organization. Our primary concerns are rescuing rabbits from "death row" at animal shelters and finding loving, indoor homes for them; and educating people on the proper care of pet rabbits.
Please note that the Missouri House Rabbit Society does not currently have a central rabbit shelter. We use foster homes throughout the metropolitan area. Please contact our hotline number and a volunteer will contact you to set up an appointment.
**Please note that under no circumstances does the Kansas City chapter ship our rabbits to other regions in the country.**
Adopting a friend
If you currently have a spayed or neutered companion rabbit, have you thought about adopting a friend for your rabbit? Rabbits are very social and do great in pairs. We offer assistance in bonding and are happy to arrange a blind date.
Our adoption fee is $55 per rabbit ($110 for a pair) we only adopt to indoor homes. We do not adopt our rabbits for classroom rabbits. A home visit is required by a Missouri House Rabbit Society volunteer prior to your adoption.
