Who We Are
Safehaven works in conjunction with the Cameron Animal Shelter to adopt animals from the Cameron area as well as animals in the surrounding counties where there are no shelters, and animals are left to fend for themselves. We also work closely with other rescue groups and larger shelters. Safehaven is in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status. Also, we are currently working on a collaboration between the four counties of Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess and DeKalb to build a shelter that will accomodate all the animals in these counties.
Adopting a Friend
Adoption Fee for Cats/Kittens and Dogs/Puppies - plus the cost of the spay or neuter. To adopt we require that you have a veterinarian reference, a way to contain the animal outside of your home such as a roomy kennel or fenced yard (if you're adopting a dog), and a letter of permission from your land lord/lady if you rent your home.
