Who We Are

The City of Gladstone Animal Shelter is a municipal animal shelter run by the City of Gladstone. We offer many educational programs for animals and people. Our adoption program is always expanding and improving. If you have any questions or would like more information regarding one of our programs feel free to contact our office at 816-436-1810.

Adopting a friend

Our adoption process includes an application which must be completed and approved. The adoption fee for dogs is $113.64. This fee includes a spay\neuter, vet check, heartworm test , microchipping and vaccinations. The adoption fee for cats is $96.64 and includes a spay\neuter, vet check, feluk test, microchipping and vaccinations. If you would like to meet one of our animals please visit our animal shelter between the hours of 12:30pm - 5:30pm seven days a week. Our animal shelter is located at 3960 N E 76 Street. We are next door to Happy Rock Park. Major intersection is NE 72 Street and N Prospect. Take NE 72 Street east from Prospect. Travel east to the first four way stop at NE 72 Street and N Antioch. Left on N Antioch to NE 76 Street. Right on NE 76 Street. Our shelter is the first building on the left as you travel east on NE 76 Street.
