Donate a BedWe have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.

How Can You Help Us?

  • Obedience classes are $0.00 for dog adopted from the shelter and $25.00 for non-shelter dogs.. Dates will be posted at a later date.

  • Having problems with your pet? Call and talk to our animal behavior specialist for suggestions.

  • Have a group that would like to know how things work around the shelter? Call and ask about our group tours for children.

  • Want a HSSEMO representative to come and talk to your group or classroom? Give us a call or stop by.

  • Find a stray animal? Bring them by the shelter and we can tell you if the animal has a microchip in them to help find the owners.

  • Know of an animal being abused? PLEASE call and let us file an animal abuse report to give to the proper authorities. (ABUSE REPORTS CAN BE ANONYMOUS IF YOU WISH)

  • If we can be of any help to you please don't be afraid to call and talk to one of our employees. Remember WE ARE HERE TO HELP!!! :)

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment and placement of all loving animals. We are in a constant state of searching in order to meet the needs of our patrons and guests. All of us here at the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri pride ourselves on not just finding a good owner for our guests, but more over, good families.
