We have a Show and Tell the second Sunday of every month. It is from 1:00 to 3:00 at Petsmart in Springfield, Mo.
Who We Are
Greyhound Pets of America - Springfield, MO is a volunteer non-profit
organization providing information about and promoting adoption of retired
racing greyhounds. We also promote cooperation with other adoption programs
nationwide to further the placement of greyhounds as pets into responsible
loving homes. Our web address is http://www.gpamo.org
Adopting a Friend
Greyhounds are
extremely clean and have no hereditary health problems. They are kennel
broken, thus virtually house broken. They are highly intelligent, intuitive
and loyal. They learn routines quickly. Most are 2 - 4 years old when available
to adopt and live to be 12 - 14. They are very social and like other pets,
including cats. They don't need any more exercise than other breeds. A
daily walk will do. They are very sensitive and give an unlimited amount
of unconditional love. Most are 55 - 80 lbs. and eat between 3 - 5 cups
of dog food per day.
Volunteering and Donations
Donations can be made to GPA-Spgfld. All proceeds go to support out adoption efforts.
If you would like to volunteer, please e-mail me.
