Adopting a friend
All of our dogs are vet checked prior to being put up for adoption. They are spayed or neutered, checked for heartworms and treated if necessary, and placed on preventative. They are also checked for parasites and all other health problems and treated if needed so we can assure a healthy, happy pet for your family. As a result of these costs, 4 the Hounds Basset Rescue must ask for an adoption fee to help offset our expenses.

**Please Note--New Adoption Fees Beginning August 1st, 2008***
Due to the skyrocketing costs of caring for our dogs (vet fees, food, transportation costs and other needs) we are forced to raise our adoption fees. The new fees are as follows:
Adult Dogs : $175.00
Bonded Pairs: $225.00
Basset mixes and Basset 'Wannabes': $100.00
Seniors (over 8 years) $100.00
Puppies (under 6 months): $200.00 plus $100.00 spay/neuter deposit. Deposit will be refunded upon presentation of proof of spay/neuter. No exceptions.
**We are asking that adopters who pay by means other than cash or check to please donate an additional $5.00 to offset the cost of electronic transactions! Thank you!**
