Featured Pet... Blackie

Blackie has a very interesting story. His family moved and left him behind inside their empty home. A neighbor called to see if we could help.He had been in the home by himself for 2 weeks with a bag of opened food. There is much more to the story of Blackie but not enough space to write. He loves to be held and cuddled and will give big hugs back.He does well with others at the shelter. He is a a little shy until he gets to know you and then look out as he just wants to hug you. What a special little guy. Maybe 2-3 years of age. Call to set a time to see this special guy. All PACV cats are thoroughly vet checked, spayed/neutered, receive vaccinations for rabies and distemper, cleaned of fleas, worms, ticks, etc., and tested negative for Feline Leukemia. Adoption fee is $125 (or $200 for 2!)

Shadow

This little girl is very petite and very sweet! Roughly 6-7 pounds and wants someone special love. Shadow is very loving and needs a home that will take care of her. She may need to be on a prescription diet for urinary crystals but we have not had any issues with her. Everything checks out normal! She likes to be the only one but is doing well with the others at the shelter. She definitely is one to see. Beautiful, gentle, sweet and loving. All PACV cats are thoroughly vet checked, declawed, spayed/neutered, receive vaccinations of rabies and distemper, cleaned of fleas, worms, ticks, etc., and tested negative for Feline Leukemia. Adoption fee is $125 (or $200 for 2!)

Pet Adoption of Cannon Valley is a unique, no-kill shelter.

  • Once healthy enough, cats are given comfortable, double-decker housing with hammocks, lounging ledges, pillows and toys.
  • Dogs are groomed, trained and sheltered at a Boarding facility.
  • In partnership with Dr. Mike Pedersen, D.V.M., all of our animals are treated with expert veterinary care, are spayed, neutered, and vaccinated before adoption.
  • Sick or well, young or old, every animal who comes to Pet Adoption of Cannon Valley is cuddled and cared for, healed and held before being adopted to carefully screened, loving homes
