When you see a pet that is in our group that you are interested in, you will be asked to fill out a pre-adoption application form. This form gives us information about you, your family and living situation along with what type of qualities you are looking for in the animal you are wanting to adopt.
Our dogs and cats (when we have some) have all recently been to a Veterinarian. They are all spayed or neutered prior to becoming available for adoption, vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and tested for Heartworm & Lymes (dogs over 6 months), tested for Feline Leukemia & FIV - Negative (kittens over 3 months) and micro chipped.
We are a small group of people in Grant County,Minnesota who care about animals and their welfare. We see and hear too many times about people don't spend the time doing their research on the breed(s) they are interested in adding to their family to make sure it is a good match for their family and lifestyle. There is way too much impluse buying and the animals are the ones who lose out on the deal. We want to make sure that if this happens to an animal, there is a safe place for it to go until the right match can be found.
We know way to well that animal didn't ask to be dropped off and left alone to fend for themselves, they didn't asked to be mistreated and now the animal is confused or has some fears. We understand and know that it takes time and patience for some for come around. Rehabilitation is a process, it just doesn't happen over night.
