Three-year-old Lola was originally found as a stray along with her litter at one of the municipal dumps on the Red Lake Reservation in Northwest Minnesota. Her having to fight her way to feed her orphaned family may well explain her personality.
After a year in her foster home, we are thrilled to report that she is doing so much better with other cats as well as dogs. She still would be happiest as an only cat. She also gets along with dogs and sleeps on the dog's bed with the dog.
She is used to receiving attention from people and loves to play. She still will nip at your fingers though when she's had enough. Lola loves her catnip filled toys and her glitter balls and will play and play. Lola will do best in an adult home and in a home with someone who has had cats before because it seems that you have to be able to read her body language to know when she's had enough attention and when she wants to be left alone. We figure that she had a tough start in life and considering that she had to fight for food, she has a good reason to be cranky some of the time. All Cause for Paws cats are tested for FELV/FIV, up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccinations, wormed, treated for fleas, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
